The Collaborative Programs Division supports and strengthens arts and cultural organizations throughout the city and creates greater visibility through programs such as !!ArtsFlash!!, Spotlight on Chicago, the Cultural Network, and the Chicago Arts Management Services.
!!Arts Flash!! is a periodic e-mail news bulletin for Chicago's arts and cultural community featuring information about professional development workshops, conferences, symposia, collaborative programming and marketing opportunities, and other resources. !!Arts Flash!! is the best way to keep up to date about new resources and opportunities offered by the Department of Cultural Affairs.
Spotlight on Chicago is an annual, two-day event, presented each fall at the Chicago Cultural Center to kick off the Chicago arts season. It provides an opportunity for arts and cultural organizations from throughout the Chicago area to present their latest programming and arts education initiatives to a wide audience including educators, members of the local media, tourism and hospitality industry professionals, and others who can pass this information on to the public.
Cultural Network is an informal gathering of local cultural organizations who meet regularly over lunch, and share resource information while encouraging collaborative programming. Cultural Network meetings are open to staff members of Chicago cultural organizations.
