The main location for the Chicago Cultural Center Ticket Office is located just off the Washington Street lobby in the First Floor Michigan room of the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington (between Wabash and Michigan).

The Ticket Office also operates satellite locations that are open in the lobby of our theaters one hour prior to the performance. The DCA Storefront Theater is located at 66 E. Randolph, and the DCA Studio Theater is located on the first floor of the Chicago Cultural Center, entrance at 77 E. Randolph.

Hours:

Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 12:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m., Sunday 12:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m., and one hour prior to performances in theater lobby.

Payment policies:

For phone or online sales, the Ticket Office accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover credit cards. For walk-up sales, we accept cash, check, or credit card payments. Tickets will appear on your bank/credit statements as the “Chicago Tourism Fund”, the umbrella under which we operate.

Please note that all ticket sales are final. Exchanges will be offered subject to availability for DCA Theater productions. The Ticket Office does not accept unpaid reservations. All tickets purchases made online or over the phone will be held at will call. Doors generally open 15 minutes prior to the performance; the Ticket Office opens 1 hour prior.

About the Chicago Cultural Center Ticket Office:

The Ticket Office handles ticketing for the Chicago Office of Tourism and Culture, in association with the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events. In addition to DCA Theater performances, tickets are also available through our office for Chicago Neighborhood Tours, Maxim’s: The Nancy Goldberg International Center, World Kitchen Culinary Programming, Lurie Garden Workshops, and many other related events.

See a show for free - Volunteer!

DCA Theater is always looking for great ushers! Volunteering with DCA Theater is a great way to see new and exciting works or different takes on an old classic, be exposed to a wide variety of the storefront theater companies that call Chicago home, in addition to getting to attend a performance for free!

While prior experience as an usher isn’t necessary, our ideal volunteer is :
• Enthusiastic about theater, and supportive of new works and theater companies.
• Comfortable engaging with patrons about our mission and other items learned in your usher orientation.
• Dedicated to making the patron’s experience a happy and memorable one.

Ushers are asked to arrive at the theater one hour prior to curtain for a brief orientation to the theater and production. At the start of your shift, you will assist the House Manager with program stuffing and occasional folding, and then help with patron inquiries, ticket tearing and patron orientation within the theater once the audience begins to arrive. Our dress code is casual, however shorts are not acceptable.  Most ushers typically wear black and white clothing.

Because we are a small-sized theater, we are only able to accommodate two ushers per performance at the DCA Storefront Theater, 66 E. Randolph.  Typically ushers begin to contact us a few weeks prior to each productions opening to be placed on the schedule.

If you would like to usher with DCA Theater, please email the Ticket Office at ticketoffice@explorechicago.org with your name, the name of the production and a selection of dates desired. You will always receive a confirmation email once your request has been processed.
