Chicago Cultural Center
1st floor Garland Room
The Vet Art Project creates opportunities for veterans and their family members to work in collaboration with artists from all disciplines to create new art about war for public performance and viewing. The goals of the Vet Art Project are to support our veterans, create stronger voices among our veterans, provide new opportunities for artists, and offer a venue to hear the voices of our veterans and artists and foster discussions about how war affects us all.
This unique art-in-process performance series will provide an opportunity for community members to participate in the development of art created in collaboration by veterans, their family members and artists. Performances will include 4-5 short performance pieces and a small sampling of visual art in various stages of completion. Each evening will be followed with brief community discussions and talkbacks designed to discuss the impact of the art on the community.
Reservations are not required but are encouraged. Please register in advance by sending an e-mail to vetartprojectchicago@gmail.com or phone 708-704-7313.
