Playwright Madeleine George weaves together humor, irony, and memorable characters into a story that explores the beauty and limits of language. Brodie, a forty-something linguist, learns that her unborn child may manifest a genetic abnormality. Encountering several unlikely confidents on her travels, she comes to understand what “communication” really means.
