Around the World in Eighty Days (originally broadcast October 23, 1938 on CBS)
You think travel is difficult these days? Well, come with us back to the 1870s and be reminded of the huge obstacles and hardships a journey could impose on a traveler then.  These concerns don’t deter Phileas Fogg from betting his bridge buddies he can make it around the globe, moving from west to east, in eighty days or less. This is the tale of that incredible trip, its demands and complications—including being trailed by an incompetent investigator who is convinced Phileas Fogg is an internationally wanted criminal.
