Laced with beauty, greed, and mass hysteria, The Alchemy of the Tulip is a fusion of dance, performance art and theater inspired by a strange obsession called Tulipmania that swept 17th century Holland. This wild frenzy of buying and selling tulip bulbs at outrageous prices ended in economic ruin leaving rich men poor, poor men losing all, and all men losing hope.
