A person’s “house” can represent many things—a terror-filled home, a body that abandons you, a haunting past, or even a literal prison cell. Come hear the powerful true stories of six people struggling to find peace in their house…despite the shadows that lurk in the corners. Finding Peace in this House is presented by Erasing the Distance in collaboration with The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, and the Chicago Office of Tourism and Culture. Erasing the Distance is a not-for-profit organization that sheds light on mental illness through theatre. Founded in 2005, Erasing the Distance has reached over 25,000 audience members with their unique theatrical productions designed to disarm stigma, stimulate dialogue, and ignite the healing process.
