Inspired by a true story, this provocative comedy-drama is set in England over 1,000 years ago when Ymma of Normandy, a headstrong, fiercely angry princess, is faced with a feeble king, a lethal warrior, a young priest and an adolescent fiancée. Tackling her destiny with full force, she sets off on an adventure that stumbles upon sexual politics, intolerance, tyranny, and class barriers.
