Pinocchio (originally broadcast Christmas Day, 1939 on CBS Radio)
You remember Pinocchio, of course: the misbehaving marionette fashioned by Geppetto the wood carver, who wishes fervently that his creation could become a human boy. And, because all things are possible in the world of fantasy, his wish comes true—nose and all. About that nose—it’s the one that grows longer every time Pinnochio tells a lie. After some harrowing experiences, Puppet Pinocchio, under the guidance of the Blue Fairy and Jiminy Cricket, discovers life is far more rewarding in the flesh and blood format.
