Fibber Writes a Movie Script (originally broadcast May 24, 1949 on NBC)
Fibber almost never turns down a chance to do something he’s never done before—even if he doesn’t quite understand what he has to do. He’ll get at it in full bluster and before long mess it up or luck his way through it. Most of the time all Molly can do is just get out of the way while mumbling “Heavenly days!” or “Taint funny, McGee”.
Let Me Tell You About My Operation (Originally broadcast July 10,1942 on CBS)
After our hero, George, is struck by a ten pound ledger tumbling off a shelf, life does an awkward left turn for him. Suddenly he’s in a world of demanding, unsympathetic nurses, uncaring doctors, and incompetent staff—all of whom are believed by everyone except George. It seems inevitable that an unnecessary surgery is in his immediate future. It’s a hospital tale with plenty of tongue in its cheek, and unfortunately, some truth.
